Podcasting is much more than just recording a conversation and sending it to Spotify. When you begin you’ll quickly discover that there is a lot to learn and not just about the technical aspects.

Podcasting is a personal development journey like no other that you have ever experienced. It’s better than a Tony Robbins UPW because the high you get from podcasting lasts permanently!

In our first week together you’ll learn the foundation pieces that 99% of existing podcasters don’t have in place. These fundamentals will set you up for long term success and act as an insurance policy against you quitting podcasting altogether!

Without these foundations in place you’ll likely give up after a couple of months because no one is listening to you. The reality is podcasting is just ⅓ of the equation and no YouTube video or cheap Udemy course will tell you what the other ⅔ are.

As your guide and mentor, I’ll leave no stone unturned and I’ll make sure that you have the tools, systems and the important foundations in place so you stick with it and leverage it into real money for a very long time.

No man or woman is a natural born host

In order for your podcast to be a success you need to become the talent that the listeners come to love. In the podcasting trade we say: “The listeners come for the host and stay for the guests”.

There is no more important statement in podcasting than that, and it will form the foundation piece of your delivery. This, my friends, is the secret sauce of podcasting that absolutely NO ONE will teach you.

Think about what makes these shows a success: The Graham Norton show, Jimmy Kimmel show, The Jimmy Fallon Show, Oprah.

The one thing that they have in common is the host. The host is the centerpiece of the strategy, and in podcasting, it is absolutely no different. In some ways it is much easier to do as a podcast host and that is also a secret hack and shortcut that I’ll share with you.

The format of your show, the pace, timing and delivery are all something that you are going to need to learn how to do and this week I’m going to teach you everything I know.

You’re going to get plenty of practice in the process so when it comes time to go live with your first guest it will be easy. Sure there will still be some nerves, but no matter what you do or how experienced you are, they will always be there.

Nervous energy is exciting but being scared and fearful will not serve you and I’ll make sure you have the training, tools and techniques to eliminate any stage fright you might encounter.

Let's talk about money and growth

Some people podcast because it’s fun and some people do it to build their brand. Most people do it because they want to make more money, but for some reason most podcasters are flat broke.

The reason they are is because they don’t have a predictable system for growth nor do they have a way that guarantees their income. Writing, creating, recording and producing podcasts is fun but it’s also very time consuming and your time isn’t free.

That’s why on this course I’ll show you how you can make money from day one of your podcasting journey but you’re not going to be able to do that unless you have made it through weeks 1 and 2. Without those foundations in place all the money making attempts in the world will be in vain.

You'll need to be positioned correctly and you'll need to create and deploy content that people want to listen to and that takes time, skill, research and a little bit of insider knowledge from me.

No one goes it alone in podcasting

And neither should you. Podcasting is not an activity that you do on your own. You might record a show by yourself but the idea is that it is heard and listened to by thousands of people and there is nothing solo about that.

Launching your show requires some dedication and fidelity. You’re really going to have to Go All In to get the episodes recorded and you’re going to have to work hard to find the JV partners to help you to launch. And when it comes time to pull the trigger, and go live, you'll need to do that in a very methodical way.

If you want to be featured in Apple Podcasts then you'll need to be highly organised. Most podcasters make the fatal mistake of recording their first show and sending it to iTunes wondering why no one has listened and why they are not in the new and noteworthy category with their 10-minute opening monologue.

It’s people like that, without a plan, that will say podcasting sucks and it’s a waste of time. The truth is, if you don’t know what you are doing, like anything in life, it will suck and be a time sap. Podcasting is no different.

As your guide I'll make sure that you have the tools, checklists and frameworks that you need to get your show to market with the maximum impact possible.
